Notice of cancellation of the West Essex CCG Integrated Urgent Care Services Procurement

West Essex CCG has taken the decision to cancel the Integrated Urgent Care Services procurement process.  This decision has not been taken lightly and has come about after much deliberation and consideration. The development of our Integrated Urgent Care service is extremely important to the CCG.

In reaching this decision, the evaluation panels, made up of a multi-organisational and multi-professional team, concluded that the bids submitted failed to demonstrate the integration across the entire pathway that we were expecting. 

To this end, the CCG will be reviewing its strategic position and undertaking a full diagnostic piece of work to understand the reasons why the procurement of the IUC service has failed. 

The CCG is aware of its obligation to have an integrated urgent care service in place no later than 1st April 2019.
