Get Wise about your Medicines
The Harlow and District Health Care Forum will be holding a medicines information event, in partnership with West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group, on Monday 2 October 2017 at the Harlow Study Centre, Netteswellbury Farm, Harlow, CM18 6BW.
The ‘Get Wise about your Medicines’ event will provide an opportunity for people to discuss their use of medications and pharmacy services. The discussion-based event will ask
- Do you know all about the medications you are taking?
- Do you take your medicines as you should?
- How should you order your medications?
- How much medication is wasted in west Essex?
There will also be opportunities to speak with a range of clinicians and healthcare commissioners. The CCG’s Chief Pharmacist will also be on hand to share information on medicines and prescribing.
This will be a valuable opportunity for people to gain a better understanding of their medications and learn more about self-care.
Anurita Rohilla, Chief Pharmacist for West Essex CCG says
“It’s really important that people know about their medicines and how to use them properly; it’s better and safer for patients and helps reduce medicines waste. We’re hoping for a really good turnout”.
The event will take place between 12:00 and 3:30pm and is open to members of the public. There will be free refreshments available from midday onwards.
