Business as usual for our team of optical practices…

Our local optometrists continued to see patients throughout the pandemic lockdown and are still offering services to patients across west Essex.

If you have a sight, eye problem or need a routine eye test, you can get in touch with one of our local optometrists for an appointment.

For patients with a medical eye problem, you can now also get in touch with one of nine Optical Practices that are piloting a Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS). You just have to be registered with a west Essex GP to make an appointment.

Emma Spofforth, who represents the Essex Local Optometric Community, said: “We are very excited to be able to offer patients this service. It will make accessing support for minor eye treatments much easier. Patients just have to be registered with a west Essex GP.

“All local optometrists in west Essex have been open throughout the pandemic and are still offering all services to people in need of eye care. If you have a sight, eye problem or just need your routine eye test, please telephone your local optometrist to speak to someone or to book an appointment.”
