- Live Well with Pain – developed by former GP Dr Frances Cole and pharmacist Emma Davies. This website offers resources for clinicians supporting patients with persistent pain
- British Pain Society – contemporary guidance for clinicians published by the BPS
- Pain Concern – based in Scotland, Pain Concern is a charity working to support and inform people with persistent pain and those who care for them. They also produce a podcast called Airing Pain
- Flippin’ Pain - inspired by the Australian pain revolution movement. This website was developed by pain researchers and physiotherapists and aims to help people better understand persistent pain
- Pain Toolkit – a guide to pain self-management developed by Pete Moore
Tools for meeting with patients
- The Navigator Tool – developed by Pain Concern, the Navigator Tool includes two useful forms that can be downloaded and brought to consultations:
- Pain concerns form – helps people to reflect on and articulate their concerns regarding their pain
- Questions to ask your healthcare professional form – provides a list of suggested questions based on the specific concerns that person has chosen.

- Opioid Tapering Resource Pack – a resource pack published by EPUT, the Princess Alexandra Hospital and West Essex CCG. It provides structured guidance related to opioid tapering in adults with chronic non-cancer pain
- 10 Opioid Safety Messages information leaflet – for clinicians and patients
- Opioids Aware – a resource for patients and clinicians to support the prescribing of opioid medications for pain produced by the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists
